Chief Financial Officer

Kyush joined Finsbury Trust in November 2024 and, having received approval from the GFSC, has been appointed to the board of Directors as Chief Financial Officer. A Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Kyush trained and qualified with Buzzacott LLP in London, where he spent close to six years in audit.

Prior to joining Finsbury, Kyush spent over a decade in senior finance leadership across the UK, the most recent of which was with the Peabody Group where he was Finance Director, Group Financial Control. At Peabody, Kyush led the core finance functions through M&A activity — creating a group managing more than 107,000 homes, with turnover in excess of £1bn and a balance sheet of over £12bn — leading a team of more than 100 colleagues spanning financial and management reporting, FP&A, tax, procurement, payroll, payments, banking, and systems and transformation.

Across his career Kyush has built a reputation for taking finance functions apart and putting them back together properly. He has consistently paired that structural work with technology, from a single group accounting database and a modern P2P ordering system to robotic process automation deployed against a purchase ledger of more than 100,000 invoices a year. Such achievements enabled him to be a keynote speaker at the Amazon Business Exchange, where he presented on driving insight and value through the purchasing process and financial strategy.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University College London and, in 2025, completed the Professional Competence in Gibraltar Tax qualification with the University of Gibraltar.

Kyush was a competitive swimmer, having won gold and silver medals at local level, and still plays football regularly — although most of his running these days is done after his daughter and son.
