In 1983 James was one of the Founder Members of Finsbury Management Services Ltd and was instrumental in its set up. This Company was primarily engaged in managing Trusts and Exempt Companies. In 1985 an agreement was reached with The Legal firm of JA Hassan and Partners, whereby this firm’s entire Exempt Company Portfolio was transferred to Finsbury Management Ltd, and James was appointed Managing Director.
In 1988 Finsbury Management was sold to E.B.C., a New Zealand Financial Group whose European HQ was in Monaco. James entered into a five-year Contract as an executive Director with E.B.C. Group with a responsibility of continuing with the Business Development of Finsbury Management Services Ltd.
In May 1991 Finsbury Management Services Limited was taken over by the Valmet Group. In January 2001, The Valmet Group was acquired by Mutual Risk Management of Bermuda and James was appointed Managing Director of Mutual Trust Management (Gibraltar).
In November 2003 there was a Management buyout, and Mutual Risk Management Bermuda sold their Gibraltar operation to the senior directors. Presently, James is an executive Director of Finsbury Trust. He is also a Licensed EIF Director and a Member of Institute of Management.
